In 2011, the government defined British Values as democracy, the rule of the law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs. We promote these values through our own school values, curriculum and enrichment activities.
At the heart of our school are a set of core values. These underpin all aspects of our curriculum and school life. We have 11 school values, agreed by staff and children. These are: courage, responsibility, kindness, peace and love, patience, tolerance, respect, friendship and co-operation, perseverance, pride and trust and honesty.
Each week, the children have the opportunity to be recognised by their teacher for modelling and demonstrating the focused value, which is rewarded with a certificate in our celebration assemblies.
