Tatton Park - Class 18
22nd January 2019
Class 18 have had a very cold but fun day as evacuees today, travelling back in time to 1941. The children got to experience what life would be like as an evacuee, living in Tatton Park. We learnt all about rationing, and cooked our own toast over the fire; we did jobs that children would have done in 1941, such as milking cows; and we looked after the animals, petting the pigs and feeding the goats. The children came away from the day, knowing lots of new facts about WW2 and they were all very excited to share them. They all behaved brilliantly and we all had lots of fun. A big thanks to our helpers for their support today!
