Hello our lovely Year 5 children!
We hope you are all okay and have had a great weekend. Did you get up to anything exciting? Even though the weather has taken a little turn and isn’t as sunny as it has been, we hope you are all finding ways to keep yourself entertained and busy!
This week me have more super home learning for you to get stuck into. As always, keep remembering to send your amazing work over to your teachers so they can see what you’re getting up to! Well done to those children who have been working hard on last week’s challenges. We had so many countries that you decided to focus your learning on, from Spain all the way to Malaysia! Florence created a brilliant video advert persuading everyone to come Spain (Mrs Gaulton can’t wait to book her ticket!) and Isabel W managed to find out the smallest and largest countries in the world- also did you know that Russia has the largest McDonalds in the world? This fact made your teachers want to visit there very much! Sam researched some amazing facts to create his own powerpoint all about Wales which was so exciting to read! Annabelle, Noah and Erin W have completed more fantastic home learning, including writing their own school reports that we LOVED reading! Daniel has written an amazing poem all about what has inspired him during lockdown and Hayden has been doing some fantastic creative writing which had Mrs Gaulton hooked! Lewis has also been working super hard on all of his learning- as well as getting outside lots and taking part in his own nature school lessons which sound like heaps of fun! Lots of you are still working incredibly hard on your weekly learning and sticky maths too- well done to Ruthvik, Titas and Erin who are blowing us away with their effort and dedication.
Not to forget... lots of you are still working so hard on your Times Tables and logging on to TT Rockstars each week! Our individual winners this week are... drumroll please...
Class 16- Harry B
Class 17- Thomas
Class 18 - Freya
Well done to our individual winners this week- you are all superstars. Our winning class of the week (which was so close!) was... Class 18!! Well done Class 18 and let’s see if Class 16 or 17 can beat you next week!
Year 5, we hope you all have a wonderful week. Keep working hard and making us proud and, remember, you can email us any time to help you if you’re stuck or don’t understand something. Well done superstars, we’re missing you lots.
Stay safe and be good,
Miss Gill, Mrs Gaulton and Miss Rawcliffe
