Egg-citing arrivals in Reception!

The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum at Chapelford Village Primary School places great emphasis on children's learning through exploration and hands-on experiences. Reception children are currently learning about life cycles and have been observing some eggs hatch into ducklings! The children are developing their scientific observation skills and have been learning about

different body parts of the ducklings e.g. feathers and beaks. The children have also developed their understanding of the responsibilities that come with caring for living things such as ensuring the ducklings are kept warm and learning to hold them gently. The children have had lots of fun naming the ducklings and watching them grow!
