Yesterday the reception classes went on an exciting trip to Warrington Museum. The children had a tour of the museum and were fascinated by the variety of items on display. They saw crystals, toys and even dinosaur bones! The children were interested to further their understanding on how toys had changed over time. The children sorted the toys into old and new and explained why. After exploring the museum's toy collection, the children participated in a craft session where they made their own toys! They had a wonderful time designing and constructing their toys and used a wide variety of materials. The children also had the opportunity to participate in a dance workshop where they learnt how to move like old toys such as ballet dancers and soldiers. Miss Saxon, Miss Hardman and Miss Ward were so impressed with how each class listened to instructions and spoke about their recent History learning. The children had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to their next trip! Well done Reception!
